POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (July 19, 2021) –The Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. has released a new animated video announcing its support of a project now being considered, the Catskills Renewable Connector, a transformative energy solution for all of New York State.
The Catskills Renewable Connector would link New York State’s two power grids. This move would be a crucial investment in securing the State’s energy future – and also would create thousands of jobs upstate while providing energy to downstate residents free of fossil-fuel emissions.
We encourage media to report on the video, and distribute it via websites and social media, to raise awareness of this issue, which is now being weighed by the New York State Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA).
