Healey Brothers’ Support of Wreaths Across America Results in New York State’s Largest Effort to Honor Deceased Veterans

More Than 2,600 Wreaths Placed on Veterans’ Gravesides in Orange County

GOSHEN, N.Y. (March 28, 2025) – Healey Brothers Automotive Group’s Wreaths Across America partnership with the NAM Knights of America motorcycle club resulted in 2,607 wreaths – the most in New York State – being placed on veterans’ resting places during the 2024 holiday season.

The Healey Brothers/NAM Knights’ wreath total – dubbed “an amazing achievement” by the national Wreaths Across America organization – was 700 more than the next highest wreath-placing group and among 112,300 gravesites decorated across New York State.

New York State’s amount was the eighth most of states nationwide, where 3 million wreaths were laid at more than 4,900 locations in a heartfelt effort to remember courageous veterans during the December holidays who lost their lives in service to the United States of America.

Healey Brothers’ devout commitment to Wreaths Across America and honoring veterans was reflected in its full-scale participation. Healey Brothers donated money to pay for and laid wreaths on gravesites and transported the wreaths around the cemetery to advance the effort, said Jason Healey, Chief Marketing Officer at Healey Brothers. In addition, Healey Brothers provided trucks used in a veterans parade through Goshen on Dec. 13, 2024, Healey said, praising the NAM Knights motorcycle club, whose members are retired veterans, for its invaluable partnership in making the events so successful and meaningful, Healey said.

“This was a vital initiative. We were honored to partner with the NAM Knights and are gratified that our collective efforts were the most in New York State,” Healey said. “Our brave veterans must always be remembered, and we must continue to treasure the importance of freedom today, tomorrow and for every generation. Healey Brothers was founded by a proud veteran, W.S. Healey, and all of us at Healey Brothers salute our Armed Forces members past, present and future. We look forward to this year’s Wreaths Across America on Dec. 13, 2025.”

The wreaths were placed on veterans’ resting places at the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen after an annual parade honoring military members past and present, including those who received Purple Hearts and served in all branches of the United States military. Gold Star families, whose children made the ultimate sacrifice during their Armed Forces service, also were recognized.

Healey Brothers also heartily saluted David Andryshak, Cemetery Superintendent of the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. They teamed up to coordinate parade and cemetery logistics. “Healey Brothers could not do this without Dave Andryshak,” Healey said. “His leadership, partnership and exceptional dedication were absolutely vital. He puts in incredible effort, for months on end, to ensure our veterans are honored with the full respect and tribute they deserve.”

Wreaths Across America participation is among Healey Brothers’ numerous generous philanthropic initiatives throughout the year in partnership with its Driven to Give Foundation. Established with the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, the Foundation is a permanently endowed fund to award grants to a wide range of nonprofit organizations in the Hudson Valley, as well as scholarships to students pursuing automotive industry careers. The Foundation extends Healey Brothers’ tradition of supporting nonprofits and other regional civic and philanthropic initiatives.

Wreaths Across America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, which was begun by Maine businessman Morrill Worcester in 1992. The organization’s yearlong mission – Remember, Honor, Teach – is carried out in part by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies in December at Arlington, as well as at thousands of veterans’ cemeteries and other locations in all 50 states and beyond.
