ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. (March 3, 2021) – Every March, people of all walks of life celebrate the Irish-ish in them with fun, festive St. Patrick’s Day events across Orange County, N.Y. This year, organizers have scheduled safe, socially-distant events, including fun charitable runs, mixology courses, and shamrockin’ celebrations.
“St. Patrick’s Day has become synonymous with parades, music, and delicious food and drinks. To continue that tradition safely in this new climate, many of our local venues are offering smaller celebrations that stay true to the spirit of the holiday,” said Orange County Tourism Director Amanda Dana. “So, put on your best green and gold and discover one of the many wee celebrations near you!”

Shamrock Celebration, The Captain’s Table, 547 Route 17M, Monroe; Sunday, March 7, 4:00-7:00 p.m.: Join the lads and ladies at The Captain’s Table for the venue’s annual Shamrock Celebration! Enjoy your favorite Irish dishes and drinks while enjoying the foot-tapping, glass-raising tunes of Roddy Harrington. Face coverings and social distancing are required. Slainte! All About Irish Cocktail, City Winery Hudson Valley, 23 Factory Street, Montgomery; Thursday, March 11, 6:00-8:00 p.m.: Whiskey and Guinness aren’t the only Irish-themed drinks to pour for St. Patrick’s Day! Run for the Gold 5K, 21 Wallkill Avenue, Montgomery; Saturday, March 20, 9:30 a.m.: Join the eighth annual Run for the Gold 5K Run/Walk hosted by the Village of Montgomery. To adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, the race will take place in smaller “waves.” Runners will also have the option to participate in the race virtually. All social distancing practices must be followed at all times, including packet pickup and before and after the race. St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Blarney Blast, Port Jervis; Sunday, March 7, 3:00-5:00 p.m.: The third annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns to historic downtown Port Jervis for the Blarney Blast. Fun, socially-distant events will include the Hudson Valley Regional Police Pipes and Drums, as well as hometown musicians, and more.
