Middletown, NY – The Greater Hudson Valley Health System (GHVHS), comprised of Orange Regional Medical Center, Catskill Regional Medical Center, Orange Regional Medical Group, Catskill Regional Medical Group, and Orange Regional Medical Center Foundation, is pleased to announce Beth Sciortino, LCSW as Behavioral Health Services Director of Social Work for the Greater Hudson Valley Health System.
Ms. Sciortino has over 13 years of experience working in Behavioral Health. She has extensive clinical and leadership experience in crisis management, operations, long and short term therapies, program supervision, policy change, and curriculum development.
Ms. Sciortino joined Orange Regional Medical Center in 2011 as a Behavioral Health Clinician in the psychiatric emergency room. At the same time, she became a Mobile Mental Health Clinician through Access Supports for Living, a position she continues to hold. In 2016, Ms. Sciortino was promoted to Behavior Health Services Director of Social Work and as interim Director of Outpatient Substance Abuse Services.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice and has a Master of Social Work degree. She is NYS licensed as a Clinical Social Worker and NYS certified as an LCSW. She is currently an Office of Mental Health trainer in Preventing and Managing Crisis Situations (PMCS), is a nationally certified trainer in various youth development curricula, and is nationally certified as a Youth Program Quality Assessor and Trainer.
