Greater Hudson Valley Health System Announces Administrator of Quality/Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance

Middletown, NY – The Greater Hudson Valley Health System (GHVHS), comprised of Orange Regional Medical Center, Catskill Regional Medical Center, Orange Regional Medical Group, Catskill Regional Medical Group, and Orange Regional Medical Center Foundation, is pleased to announce Kelly Roth, RN, CPHQ, LSSGB as GHVHS Administrator of Quality, Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance.

In her new role, Ms. Roth provides leadership through oversight, planning and execution of initiatives in the areas of operational excellence, regulatory compliance and accreditation, medical staff peer review and patient safety.

Ms. Roth joined the Quality Department at Orange Regional Medical Center in 2013 as the Manager of Regulatory & Patient Safety and led the organization through numerous accreditation and regulatory surveys over the years. In 2015, Ms. Roth was promoted to GHVHS Director of Accreditation and Regulatory Activities, expanding her responsibilities across the system. Since that time, she has been instrumental in successfully transitioning the organization to DNV GL accreditation and ISO 9001 Certification. ISO 9001 certification means an organization has met the requirements for generally acceptable quality management and business practices.  It focuses an organization on continuous improvement.

Ms. Roth has achieved certification in Healthcare Quality, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, she is a Master Trainer for TeamSTEPPS and GHVHS’s subject matter expert for  ISO 9001 certification standards. TeamSTEPPS is an evidence-based set of teamwork tools, aimed at optimizing patient outcomes by improving communication and teamwork skills among health care professionals.

In an effort to support innovative healthcare improvements, Ms. Roth is enrolled in Brown University continuing her education in Executive Healthcare Leadership. As well, she is currently participating in a state Baldrige Examiner Program. Ms. Roth has spoken at numerous national conferences about patient safety and leveraging accreditation to aid organizations in attaining improved outcomes.
