Goshen, N.Y. (Aug. 21, 2012) – Glen Arden is pleased to announce the appointment of Fran Melder as its new Director of Sales.
Melder brings more than 25 years of leadership and marketing experience to her new position. She was most recently CEO and Administrator at Southwinds Retirement Home in Middletown, N.Y. Additionally, Melder has held positions as President and CPO of United Way of Orange County; Vice President of Lending at Warwick Savings Bank; both Marketing Director and Vice President of Loan Servicing at Middletown Savings Bank; Vice President of Retail Banking at MSB BankCorp, and Vice President of Premier National Bank.
Melder is an active member of both the Orange County Chamber of Commerce and the Minority and Women Loan Committee. She is a founding member of 2-1-1 Orange County; Healthy Orange; Project Liberty and 9/11 Community Collaborative, a coalition to support military families. Additionally, Melder is a graduate of the Leadership Orange Class of 2000 and was honored with the Orange County Women of Achievement of Award in 1998.
As Director of Sales, Melder’s key duties include analyzing current sales practices; coordinating and facilitating seminars on and off site and presenting strategies to increase sales volume at Glen Arden.

Melder earned her master’s degree from the National School of Banking at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Conn. She currently resides in Warwick with her husband, Joseph.
