43rd Annual 98.3 WSUL Fundraiser Will Help Purchase Life-Saving Cardiac Equipment
Harris, NY – The 43rd Annual 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon, benefiting the Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills Cardiology Department, will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is presented by Bold Gold Media and the Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association and, for the safety of staff, volunteers and community supporters, all interviews and presentations will take place virtually.
This year’s event, called “The Beat Goes On,” will help in the fight against heart disease. The live broadcast on 98.3 WSUL will feature pledges, guest speakers, and guest-host segments with community leaders and personalities, information, tips and demonstrations about heart health.
All proceeds will exclusively benefit Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills’ Cardiology Department, and will be used to purchase a much-needed new portable echo ultrasound system as part of the initiative to improve awareness, and the overall cardiovascular health, of Sullivan County.
“Our cardio-pulmonary team helps patients fight and cope with heart disease every day,” said Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Schiller. “WSUL and the Heart-A-Thon play an important role in our annual fundraising, and we cannot thank our partners and generous donors enough. The money raised helps us maintain the cardiac care we provide to our community.”
