Walden, N.Y. (February 1, 2012) – Jacobowitz & Gubits is pleased to announce that G. Brian Morgan has been named co-chair of the Legislative Committee, New York State Bar Association Municipal Law Section.
Mr. Morgan recently rejoined the firm as senior counsel with practice in municipal law, land use, development law and related areas. His extensive background in municipal law also includes positions as chief counsel to the City of Poughkeepsie and as attorney for numerous towns and municipalities in the Hudson Valley. He also worked with the Dutchess County District Attorney.

Mr. Morgan is also past president of the Dutchess County Bar Association and serves on the Board of Directors of the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation. He has served as vice-chairman on the Board of Directors of the Dutchess County Arts Council. In 2011, Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress named Mr. Morgan a Pattern for Progress Fellow, based on his professional achievements in support of the decontamination and redevelopment of urban waterfronts along the Hudson River.
