FRIENDLY HONDA INVESTING IN ENHANCED CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (October 2, 2012) — Friendly Honda, a nationally recognized, four-time President’s Award-winning Honda dealership in Poughkeepsie, is undergoing a million-dollar-plus renovation effort to upgrade its facilities and technology.

With the renovation, which is scheduled to begin in the next few weeks with completion expected by next summer, the dealership aims to expand their services and improve their customer and employee experience with a more efficient and comfortable environment.

“We are very excited to get to work on our new renovation project,” said Eric Kahn, owner of Friendly Honda. “This is so much more than just a business expansion. It’s a way for us to open new doors in customer service and satisfaction. New construction will pave the way for new services, which will be apparent in projects like the expansion of our drive-through service department. Overall, this is an initiative that will beautify our neighborhood and benefit everyone involved; including our employees and the people we serve.”

Some of the major renovations include expanding the service drive-thru from nine vehicle stations to 12 and replacing the current detailing building with a modern, 6,000 square-foot facility with added services. A new, more efficient automated car wash will enable Friendly Honda to provide a complimentary wash with nearly every service appointment. Improved exterior lighting, landscaping and redesigned entrances and exits will improve traffic flow around the property. Additionally, the former Sprint building will be demolished to accommodate a larger and more modern used car lot, with an improved façade and covered carport to shelter customers from inclement weather.

One of the dealership’s top priorities is being a responsible member of the Poughkeepsie business community. By creating aesthetically pleasing facilities through the renovation of older structures, Friendly Honda is improving the customer experience while also adding curb appeal.

“Our investment in this renovation was led by the principles of our mission,” said Kahn. “We believe that buying a car should be a hassle-free experience, done in an environment that’s comfortable and welcoming. We also believe that these values should be obvious in our interactions with the community, which is why we’re paying special attention to the aesthetics of our buildings.”
