FOUR-STAR CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL OPENS IN SUFFERN, N.Y.

Region’s premier full-service hotel and conference center offers wedding, catering expertise

May 25, 2011 – Suffern, N.Y. – The four-star Crowne Plaza Hotel & Conference Center in Suffern, N.Y. is officially open for business.

“Crowne Plaza Suffern is now the region’s premier full-service hotel and conference center,” said Joshua Goldstein of Empire Executive Inn LLC., owners of the hotel.

“There is tremendous demand for a four-star hotel and conference center in Rockland. The new Crowne Plaza Suffern is designed to perfectly meet the needs of businesses and families hosting events from weddings to business conferences. Rockland’s residents won’t have to hold special events at hotels in New Jersey or Westchester any longer. Now they’ll be able to experience four-star treatment right here in Rockland, close to home.”

For reservations, please call toll-free at (866) 858-7666, or book online at cpsuffernhotel.com

The hotel features 230 exquisite guest rooms, including 6 luxurious 2-room suites and 15 executive suites, a modern, high-tech conference center and three elegantly decorated ballrooms.

Particular attention was given to the hotel’s ability to host large conferences and events. Crowne Plaza Suffern boasts one of the region’s largest conference centers, with 11 meeting rooms offering up to 25,000 square feet of space. The largest ballroom has a capacity of 800 people theater-style with seating for 600 guests for dinner. The meeting rooms have state of the art lighting and audio-video equipment, and additional “breakout” rooms are available for groups of 10 or 20 people.

Shrouded in sleek, modern elegance, the atrium of Crowne Plaza Suffern displays a 15-foot tall waterfall surrounded by a koi pond that instantly leaves an impact with patrons. The waterfall area, as well as the surrounding lounge, is also available for cocktail receptions. The hotel also features extensive and impressive food service operations, led by the Flagstones Restaurant and the Koi Lounge.

Crowne Plaza Suffern also offers its patrons a 24-hour business center, a well-equipped fitness room and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The hotel is also 100 percent smoke free.

“There is nothing else like it in Rockland County,” said Goldstein. “From the moment you walk in, to the minute you leave, you will be amazed at what Crowne Plaza Suffern has to offer.”

Crowne Plaza Suffern is conveniently located just off New York Thruway Exit 14B. Woodbury Common Premium Outlets are about 20 minutes north and New York City is about an hour south of the hotel. Shuttle bus service is available to Stewart International Airport and Westchester County Airport, both of which are about 30 minutes from the hotel. Shuttles also take guests to the nearby commuter rail station serving Manhattan.
