Goshen, N.Y. – December 10, 2009 – Focus Media, a prominent Hudson Valley-based advertising and public relations agency, was recently announced winner of three 2009 Telly Awards for its expertise in the production and direction of television commercials for two major clients.
Focus Media received Telly Awards for Best Entertainment Commercial and Best Tourism Commercial for “The Monticello Experience,” produced for Monticello Casino & Raceway. The agency leveraged the award-winning spot last summer in an aggressive cable advertising campaign for Monticello Casino & Raceway. Focus Media crafted a journey through the casino floor with visitors of all ages and highlighted its attractions, including the 1,100 slot machines, dining amenities and live entertainment. The commercial was decorated with the excitement of the casino world, as well as the action on the harness racetrack, a staple in the Catskill Region for over 50 years.
Focus Media was also awarded a 2009 Telly Award for Best Local TV/Cable Commercial for its work on the Walden Savings Bank piece “What Can We Do for You?” The commercial focused on Walden Savings Bank’s personal customer service and broad banking options. Focus Media produced a commercial that themed building long term relationships and fulfilling lifelong dreams of its clients, while doing so with a community banking touch. The commercial featured field shots of families in front of their new homes, contractors at their new commercial building and customers inside a Walden Savings Bank branch.
The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions and work created for the Web. The 30th Annual Telly Awards received over 14,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents. All judges are top advertising and production professionals and past Telly Award winners. The contest judges national and regional ads in a variety of categories, including tourism, entertainment, banking, gaming and more.
