FOCUS MEDIA HELPS CLIENTS WIN NATIONAL HEALTHCARE MARKETING AWARDS

Hudson Valley firm’s work in healthcare field recognized by renowned institutions

GOSHEN, N.Y. (Aug. 2, 2012) – Focus Media’s recent work with two of the region’s top healthcare organizations has earned several distinguished healthcare marketing awards.

The Goshen-based advertising and public relations firm’s work with clients Orange Regional Medical Center (ORMC) in Middletown, and Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Harris together earned three Healthcare Advertising Awards and three 2012 Aster Awards. The awards are given to healthcare organizations that display excellence in marketing their care services to the public and enhancing the medical field as a whole.

“We are thrilled that the marketing campaigns developed through our partnerships with CRMC and Orange Regional has been recognized with these awards,” said Josh Sommers, President and CEO of Focus Media. “The Healthcare Advertising Awards and Aster Awards are two of the industry’s most prestigious designations, and this year was truly one to remember. We would like to thank both CRMC and Orange Regional for their partnership and their collaboration.”

CRMC received a Gold Healthcare Advertising Award in the category of Internal Publication for its “Hot Off the Stretcher” employee newsletter, which also won the Silver Aster Award. The medical center’s “Did You Know” campaign, which focused on technology, quality care and CRMC’s experienced medical professionals, was honored with a Bronze Healthcare Advertising Award in the Magazine Advertising category. It also received a Bronze Aster in the Direct Mail Piece category for its Birthing Center postcard.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by industry peers, and we are extremely proud of this year’s awards,” said J.P. In addition, Orange Regional’s “New Hospital” brochure received a Healthcare Advertising Award for its depiction of the organization’s new medical center, which opened in August 2011. It also earned an Aster Award in the Newspaper Advertising category for its “Stage 1-New Hospital” campaign.

The Healthcare Advertising Awards, judged by a national panel, aim to promote exceptional quality, creativity and message effectiveness on the part of healthcare organizations. The Aster Awards competition is an esteemed contest that recognizes the nation’s most talented healthcare marketing professionals for excellence in advertising.
