Goshen, N.Y. (Jan. 14, 2013) – At 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, attendees of Glen Arden’s Chef Showcase will be in for a treat when Susan Holbert Crocker, co-owner of Holberts Catering and Back Yard Bistro in Montgomery, cooks up a delicious meal.
The Chef Showcase is open to seniors 62 and older, and admission is free. This year, the Showcase will take place approximately every other month. Each event will feature one or two chefs from a local restaurant, and will give residents and area seniors the opportunity to sample different foods.
“We recently kicked off the series in late 2012 and the attendance has been growing significantly,” said Melissa McCoy, Elant’s Director of Corporate Initiatives. “It’s such a great event, and we’re pleased to be able to offer our residents and area seniors with quality of life enhancing activities such as this one. We’re grateful to our supporters and the local restaurants that participate and make the Showcase possible.”
Chef Susan Holbert Crocker, who came in second place on the Food Network’s popular program Chopped, will prepare lunch for attendees on Feb. 4. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn about all of the services and amenities that Glen Arden has to offer, and participate in a tour. Space is limited, and reservations are required.
