Sports centers, galleries and museums offer opportunities to run, ride, soar, climb, explore history and peruse paintings and sculpture – there’s everything from artwork to ziplines.

Add in a stop at one of our cozy restaurants, from casual to fine dining, and any of our fabulous accommodations, and you’ll find that Orange County, N.Y., is a perfect setting for a one-of-a-kind winter weekend you’ll long remember.”

The following are just some Orange County locations for winter fun:

IceTime Sports Complex, 21 Lakeside Drive, Newburgh: The indoor rink at the complex offers sessions for public skating as well as figure skaters/skate dancers and hockey players. Lessons are available. Book your child’s birthday party here. Come for the Friday night Party Skate.

Urban Air Adventure & Trampoline Park at Galleria Mall, 1 North Galleria Drive, Middletown: The indoor park provides a safe place where the whole family can jump, soar, race, climb and play. Enjoy go-karts, the sky rider, climbing walls, rope courses and much more.

The Castle Fun Center, 109 Brookside Ave., Chester: This family-fun amusement center is packed with activities – an arcade, Inflatapark, laser tag, laser maze, a rock-climbing wall, zipline, free fall, bumper cars, and much more.

West Point Museum, 2110 New South Post Road, West Point: The museum collects, preserves, exhibits and interprets historically significant artifacts pertaining to the United States Military Academy, United States Army and the Profession of Arms. Exhibitions and artifacts include the history of the Military Academy, and a wide range of the implements of battle, including a World War I tank.

Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame, 240 Main St., Goshen: Learn about the history and tradition of the American-born sport of Standardbred (harness) racing with historical memorabilia, artworks, interactive exhibits and informative films.

Cheymore Gallery, 233 NY-17, Tuxedo Park: Founded in 2011 to exhibit emerging, mid-career and established contemporary artists, the Cheymore Gallery is committed to bringing contemporary fine art to the Hudson Valley. The gallery hosts four exhibitions annually, ranging from group exhibitions to solo shows.
