ELANT NAMES SYLVIA MCTIGUE AS CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Goshen, N.Y. (May 25, 2011) – Elant, Inc. announced today the appointment of Sylvia L. McTigue as Chief Administrative Officer.

McTigue will translate Elant’s short- and long-term strategies by leading organizational culture integration, change management and employee engagement initiatives throughout its vast network. She will also focus on system-wide employee and labor relations integration, service excellence and organizational performance in support of Elant’s mission, vision and values throughout all of the company’s seven campuses. She will also provide personal and professional coaching, performance and leadership development to management staff and their employees.

With over 12 years of long-term care, not-for-profit human resources leadership, merger/acquisition, and change management experience, McTigue led several multi-site divisions at The Wartburg Adult Care Community, headquartered in Mount Vernon, where she was Executive Vice President/Human Resources and prior managed human resources initiatives at Beth Abraham Healthcare Services as its Director of Human Resources.

“Sylvia has an extensive background in managing multiple facets of employee and labor relations and implementing innovative organizational development approaches, which will be a great asset to Elant,” said Elant President and CEO Todd A. Whitney.  “Sylvia has led multi-site human resource operations for The Wartburg – another large, not-for-profit organization – which is a perfect fit with Elant.”

McTigue has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from New York University and pursued her juris doctorate at Concord Law.

“I look forward to being part of the Elant family in joining Elant’s new management team,” McTigue said. “This is a strong, caring organization with competent employees, managers and clinicians striving for excellence in providing the very best to care for the adults in our communities.”
