May 23, 2012 (Suffern, N.Y.)—Ramapo Anesthesia (R.A.) is pleased to announce Ricardo A. Leano, M.D., FACHE received Fellow status to the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) in a ceremony held at the ACHE 2012 Congress on Healthcare Leadership in Chicago.
ACHE is an international professional society of more than 40,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations. ACHE offers its prestigious FACHE® credential, signifying board certification in healthcare management.
Dr. Leano joined their staff of anesthesiologists at Catskill Regional Medical Center as site director late last year. He is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and received his Medical Doctor Degree from Universidad Nacional De Colombia in Bogota, Colombia. He completed his internship at Caguas Regional Hospital in Caguas, Puerto Rico and his anesthesia residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Dr. Leano also graduated from the University of Miami, School of Business with a Master of Business Administration, Specialization in Health Administration and Policy where he achieved an Award of Academic Merit for Academic Excellence. Additionally he earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate from the American Society for Qualified Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
R.A. is headquartered in a 5,500 square-foot office in Suffern, N.Y., where the administrative, billing and one of its many Ramapo Pain Management and Medical Services offices are located. The group’s physician staff has tripled in the past three years and now includes nearly 100 physicians and 30 CRNAs in the tri-state area.
