September 10, 2012 – Monticello, N.Y. – Combined Energy Services (CES), a regional energy supplier, recently donated a service van to the White Lake Fire Department (WLFD) to assist local firefighting efforts in the Sullivan County community for the second year in a row.
“Volunteer firefighters are the lifeline of Sullivan County and we’re happy to assist these brave men and women who donate so much time to protect us all,” said Mike Taylor, co-owner at Combined Energy Services. “It served us well as a service van and I’m sure the fire police will be able to put it to work for the department.”
The 2005 Chevy Utility Van will be used by the WLFD Fire Police to carry equipment and personnel to the scenes of fires and accidents. Receiving the van was Moose Liff, CES sales associate & life long White Lake firefighter, and White Lake Board of Fire Commissioners Henry Rumsey & Rich Hendrickson.
This isn’t the first time a CES fleet vehicle ended up in the hands of a local fire company in Sullivan County. In 2011, the Liberty Fire Department took possession of a 2005 Chevy Utility Van from CES, also being utilized for Fire Police operations.
“The White Lake Fire Department works hard every day to keep the residents and businesses of White Lake, Bethel and its surrounding areas safe,” said Rumsey. “It’s always a blessing when we are gifted something from a local business and we are truly grateful to Mike and Walt Taylor for this donation that will aid our mission.”
