Jan. 11, 2013 – Callicoon, N.Y. – Catskill Regional Medical Center’s (CRMC) Grover M. Hermann Hospital Auxiliary recently generously donated almost $22,000 for several projects to enhance patient care, services and safety.
The projects funded by the Auxiliary included a complete upgrade of the Grover M. Hermann hospital security system; the purchase of I-STAT diagnostic equipment – an advanced, handheld blood analyzer that provides real-time, lab-quality results within minutes to accelerate the patient care decision-making process; and the creation of an outside patio located in front of the hospital underneath the flagpole, which will provide both patients and staff a beautiful outside area to enjoy.
“We are very lucky to have such a dedicated and passionate Auxiliary,” said Rolland “Boomer” Bojo, Grover M. Hermann Hospital Administrator. “They are extremely generous and work tirelessly to enhance patient care and safety through fun events, such as the upcoming Health Fair in May, or through the purchase of equipment. We greatly appreciate the Auxiliary and thank them for their generous donation.”
Serving western Sullivan County and its surrounding communities, the Grover M. Hermann Hospital is a NYS designated Rural Critical Access Hospital and offers a broad array of community health services, including a 24/7 Emergency Department, physical and occupational rehabilitation, lab services and imaging services, including a CT scanner.
