May 15, 2013 – Harris, N.Y. – Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) has announced its 35th Annual Golf Classic, where local golfers and sponsors are invited to tee up to support the hospital’s mission of advancing patient care. The tournament will be held at the Villa Roma Resort’s award-winning golf course in Callicoon, N.Y., on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
Proceeds from this year’s event will be used toward the purchase of new telemetry units for the fifth floor at CRMC. The telemetry system provides wireless bedside monitoring between a central station and patient.
“The Catskill Regional Medical Center Golf Classic is our primary fundraiser each year and affords us the opportunity to give our patients and the community access to state-of-the-art technology and quality care,” said J.P. McGuirk, CRMC’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations. “This has been a two-year fundraising campaign to purchase the telemetry equipment, and this year’s Golf Classic will help us reach our goal.”
The day is set to begin with a full breakfast buffet at 9:30 a.m. before the tee-off at 11 a.m. on the Villa Roma’s beautiful, par 71 golf course. An awards reception will follow the day’s golfing and will feature an open bar cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres from 4 to 5 p.m., followed by a grand buffet dinner with carving stations.
The $175 registration fee per golfer includes the greens fee, golf cart, breakfast, gifts, many chances for prizes and the awards reception/dinner. For $75, non-golfers can enjoy the dinner and awards reception. Sponsorship opportunities are available at all levels. To register or to become a sponsor, call 845-794-3300 ext. 2070 or visit www.crmcny.org to download the entry form.
