May 9, 2011 – Harris, N.Y. – Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is asking local golfers and sponsors to tee up for its 33rd Annual Golf Classic. The tournament will be held at Tennanah Lake Golf & Tennis Club in Roscoe, N.Y., on Tuesday, Aug 2.
The funds raised from this year’s event will be used to purchase a computerized tomographic angiography (CTA) software package for CRMC’s 64-slice CT scanner, which can non-invasively evaluate the arteries and veins in most parts of the body, including the heart, and produce images of each section in 20 seconds or less.
“The Catskill Regional Medical Center Golf Classic is a great event, and serves as our primary fundraiser for the year,” said J.P. McGuirk, Catskill Regional Medical Center’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations. “CRMC is dedicated to advancing patient care for our community. Our fundraising events enable us to purchase the latest technology, which ultimately enhances the level of care that we provide to Sullivan County and the surrounding areas.”
The day will begin with a full brunch buffet at 10:30 a.m. before tee-off at noon on Tennanah Lake’s beautiful, scenic 18-hole golf course. When the golfing concludes, an awards reception will take place featuring an open bar cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a grand buffet dinner with carving stations.
The $150 registration fee per golfer includes greens fee, golf cart, brunch, gifts, many chances for prizes and the awards reception/dinner. Non-golfers can enjoy activities throughout the day at Tennanah Lake and/or just come to the awards reception/dinner. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
