June 17, 2013 – Harris, N.Y. – Catskill Regional Medical Center’s Cancer Support, in conjunction with the American Cancer Society, will host a free program called “Look Good, Feel Better” on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. The program will be held at Catskill Regional Medical Center, 68 Harris Bushville Road, Harris in Boardroom ‘A’ located on the second floor of the Ambulatory Services Building.
Presented by Nel Miros, Licensed Cosmetologist, Patricia Morris, owner and operator of Fantasy Hair in Wurtsboro and sponsored by the National Cosmetology Association and the Personal Care Products Council, the program helps cancer patients’ transition their appearance while in cancer treatment by learning skin-care tips, make-up application techniques and wig and turban styling. By the end of the session, patients should have an improved self-image, tips on how to manage their appearance and a sense of support, confidence, courage and community.
