CATSKILL REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER APPOINTS WENDY E. BROWN AS EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Oct. 5, 2012 – Harris, N.Y. – Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) recently announced the appointment of Wendy E. Brown, RN, MS, CALA, as its Emergency Department (ED) Clinical Director. In this position, Brown has 24-hour clinical and administrative responsibility for CRMC’s ED.

Brown comes to CRMC from Bayshore Community Hospital in New Jersey, where she held the position of Vice President, Patient Care Services. Previous to that post, she held roles of progressive responsibility including Administrative Director, Emergency Department; Director of Nursing, Emergency Department; and Vice President of Operations. Brown has a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, N.Y., as well as a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from St. Joseph’s College in Windham, Maine. In addition, Brown has served as Past President of the Emergency Nurses’ Association (ENA), NYS Bronx Manhattan Chapter, and was the 2001 recipient of the New Jersey State ENA Leadership Award. She is a local Sullivan County resident.

“Wendy brings more than 25 years of clinical experience, as well as strong management and executive experience,” said Barbara Gentile, Chief Nursing Officer at Catskill Regional Medical Center. “Her knowledge, passion and dedication to quality care are all tremendous assets, and we are very pleased to have Wendy as our new ED Clinical Director.”

CRMC recently completed construction and renovations to its Emergency Department, more than doubling its size.
