CATSKILL REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER APPOINTS JAMES L. CAFFREY ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT, FACILITIES

January 28, 2011 – Harris, N.Y. – Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) today announced the appointment of James L. Caffrey as its Assistant Vice President of Facilities.

“James brings 30 years of facilities management and administrative experience to CRMC,” said Steven Ruwoldt, CEO of Catskill Regional Medical Center. “His wealth of knowledge, skills and background in the industry will be great assets to the hospital, and we are pleased to have him on our executive staff.”

Prior to joining CRMC, Caffrey served as Vice President of Administrative Services for Wyoming Valley Health Care System in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., where he was responsible for plant operations/maintenance, engineering, construction, safety and security, biomedical, communications, courtesy and transport service, laundry, environmental services and dietetics.

Caffrey earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management and a Master of Business Administration in Operations Management from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre. He holds Fellowship status in the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager through the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. Caffrey is also a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, and sits on the Advisory Board of Business Administration at Luzerne County Community College in Nanticoke, Pa.
