When Catskill Farms and its founder, home builder and designer Chuck Petersheim, sought to raise their profile in 2020’s bustling real estate market, they again turned to Focus Media, which had provided marketing and public relations in 2008 during The Great Recession. For this newest outreach, Focus Media developed a strategy to position Petersheim as a trends analyst who could authoritatively explain the vast implications of swarms of New Yorkers migrating to the Hudson Valley from New York City as coronavirus took hold. Focus Media targeted local, regional and national outlets – from weekly and big-city newspapers and websites to cable-news networks, national publications and magazines – that published Petersheim’s timely analysis columns or whose reporters interviewed Petersheim as an in-the-know source.

That winning strategy included nearly 253 million impressions driven by more than 400 print and digital placements in print and online publications, as well as broadcast outlets, including:
