Hudson Valley wedding destination adds a 40-room Victorian-style inn.
November 20, 2009 – Slate Hill, N.Y. – The Stack Family, along with many area dignitaries, today broke ground on the new $7 million Inn at Catlin Gardens.
The Inn at Catlin Gardens, slated to open in Spring 2010, compliments the beauty and elegance of the 1860’s Victorian Manor House that has been the backdrop of many Hudson Valley weddings. The Victorian-style, 40-room inn will feature fine linens, fireplaces, jacuzzi tubs and a fitness center when it opens next spring.
“To expand our family business to include The Inn is truly a great feeling,” stated Jack Stack, owner and operator at Catlin Gardens. “This strengthens Catlin Gardens’ position as a destination wedding venue.”
The Inn will accommodate wedding guests and also serve as a meeting destination for corporate events. An additional catering room for private parties and corporate retreats, as well as a parlor-style pub offering private dining and room service, are just some of the many new accommodations that will be offered.
“Catlin Gardens’ new boutique Inn gives us added options for selling to both consumers and groups,” stated Susan Cayea, director of Orange County Tourism. “It’s always a shot in the arm when something new in the tourism realm is built in the county.”
