Pennsylvania’s biggest outdoor waterpark is open for the season and has live music, lessons and competitions planned for the summer.
Tannersville, Pa. (May 28, 2018) – Camelbeach, Pennsylvania’s biggest outdoor waterpark, opened for the season on Memorial Day weekend; honored members of the U.S. Armed Forces and provided them and their families with free, full-day admission. The unofficial start of summer kicked off on Saturday, May 26, with the launch of the Camelbeach ‘Beats at the Beach’ music series and a variety of fun activities.
Jonathan Colon, a Marine Corps veteran, celebrated the start of summer with his wife and four-year-old son at Camelbeach.
“I’ve been deployed multiple times since my son was born, so I’m grateful for the opportunity to spend quality time with him and my wife this weekend,” said Colon of Hoboken, N.J. “Active military members have limited time with their families who are usually stateside while they’re out serving their country. Getting free admission to Camelbeach is a special way to make the most of time with family during this long weekend.”
Active military members and their card-carrying dependents, as well as retired members, are eligible for a discounted Camelbeach ticket rate of $37.00 all summer long.
Located in a picturesque setting at the base of Camelback Mountain, Camelbeach is packed with adrenaline-inducing slides and relaxing attractions for guests of all ages. Pocono Mountain residents and visitors can experience splashtastic fun at one of many upcoming events at Camelbeach.

Beats on the Beach: Camelbeach is featuring some of the region’s best DJs all summer long! Come hang out and listen to some great summer time favorites and dance under the sun every Saturday, 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Latin Sundays: Camelbeach is bringing you some of the best Latin DJs in the area every Sunday this summer, 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. Check out the Latin Connection DJ Family and dance to the sounds of Hispanic Summers.
World’s Largest Swim Lesson: Camelbeach will join the nation’s top water safety and training organizations to present The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ (WLSL) on Thursday, June 21, 2018, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. This annual event aims to build awareness about the vital importance of teaching children to swim to help prevent drowning. Participants will be evaluated based on their age and skill level before receiving a free 45-60-minute swim lesson that includes various challenges.
Independence Day Celebration: On Tuesday, July 3, 2018, bring the entire family to enjoy an extended day of splashing and relaxing at Camelbeach, with 37 rides, slides, and attractions running until 8:00 p.m. Join beach band Dancing Elephants from noon to 4:00 p.m. When the day starts to wind down, the dance floor opens from 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. with DJ Joe Jinx featuring The Luxury Brothers. The day culminates with an epic firework display when the sun sets on Camelback Mountain.
FLOW Tour: On Sunday, July 15, 2018, top flowboarders will battle in an effort to represent Team USA and earn free roundtrip airfare and a seeded slot in the World Flowboarding Championships in Orlando, Fla. The FLOW Tour is open to everyone – all ages and skill levels are encouraged to participate in the contest.

For the last week of the season, from August 27 through Labor Day, September 3, Camelbeach will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
