Students are invited to attend a meet and greet before joining BC Eagles for a basketball game
Goshen, N.Y. (February 11, 2020) – John S. Burke Catholic High School recently welcomed its accepted students and their families for a night of introductions. New students and their families were invited to attend a meet and greet with current faculty and staff before joining their fellow Eagles for a varsity basketball game against Goshen High School.
“Our Accepted Students’ Night is a fun opportunity for new and prospective students to get a sneak peek into life and culture here at Burke Catholic,” said Principal-Operations John Douthit. “The young men and women were able to connect with other new students, as well as existing students, from across the county, and it gave their families a chance to meet the faculty and staff who will be guiding their children in their educational endeavors.”
Students and their families convened at Burke Catholic, located at 80 Fletcher Street in Goshen, at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020 in the library for an hour-long meet and greet. This gathering provided students and parents with the opportunity to ask questions, meet staff, and gain more insight into what life can be like as members of the BC family. Following the meet and greet, all were invited to attend a home basketball game between Burke Catholic and Goshen High School.
Burke Catholic has 33 interscholastic athletic teams at the school. Students are also able to participate in 25 additional clubs and activities.
