Performances will take place April 20 and 21 and feature the renowned BC Players
Goshen, N.Y. (April 17, 2018) – Audiences are in for a treat this weekend when The Burke Catholic Players present Disney’s The Little Mermaid on stage. Performances will take place Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22.
Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney’s The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages. Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the Fish, Scuttle the Seagull and Sebastian the Crab to restore order under the sea. This fishy fable captures hearts with irresistible songs, including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.”
The cast includes: Grace Yurchuk as Ariel; Johnny Drumgoole as Prince Eric; Julia Birmingham as Ursula; Kellyanne Murphy as Sebastian; Alex White as King Triton; Myriam Moise as Flounder; Jaycie Dick as Scuttle; Ian Ward as Grimsby; Lizette Wallace, Christina Pride, Larissa Nothnagle, Alley Redd, Julia Ward, and Ariana White as Mersisters; Erin Menkes as Flotsam; Lauren Staiger as Jetsam; Cecilio Echeandia, Christina Loffredo, Tiffany Ramos, Mariah Ross, and Joy Watson in various roles as chefs, sailors and maids; and Bridget Murphy, Katherine Murphy Megan Murphy, and Maddie Yurchuk as sea creatures.
