GOSHEN, N.Y. (July 28, 2017) —- Audrey Lewin of Poughkeepsie has been named administrator at the Glen Arden Health Care Center, the 40-bed nursing home unit which is part of the Glen Arden Continuing Care Retirement Community.
In her role, Lewin manages the unit’s operations as part of the continuum of care for this retirement community, which provides seniors who are age 62 and older the combination of independence with the assurance of quality health care if it’s ever needed.
Lewin has worked in the nursing home/rehabilitation industry for the last 20 years, with 12 years of administrator experience and consistent accomplishments in quality improvement, operating cost reduction and increased profitability in a long-term care setting.
“Audrey’s talent, experience and personality makes her a wonderful asset to Glen Arden,” said Glen Arden Executive Director Genie Keating. “She understands the needs of our patients and their families and balances that with intricate knowledge of optimal operations and management of a health care organization.”
Most recently, Lewin was the administrator at Elant at Fishkill, the 160-bed facility providing long-term, subacute and specialized dementia care in Dutchess County. She also served as administrator at Campbell Hall Rehabilitation in Campbell Hall and Wingate at Ulster in Highland.
Lewin earned her bachelor’s degree in health services administration/economics from the City University of New York/Lehman College. She completed graduate studies in nursing home administration from the State University of New York Institute of Technology in Utica.
Lewin also holds an administrator leadership certificate from the New York State Health Facilities Association, and a facility quality award from the American College of Health Care Administrators.
