Local scouts and scouting families enjoy deep discounts, deep snow, big fun
WARWICK, N.Y. (February 7, 2019) – Mount Peter is once again gearing up for its annual Scout Weekend, which will take place this year on March 9 and 10, 2019. New York’s family mountain is calling all Scouts and scouting families to come out and hit the slopes for a weekend of skiing and snowboarding fun, all at huge discounts. Bring your troop, your pack and your family to our lodge for a weekend packed full of fun!
“At Mount Peter, we’re all about community – our local community, the greater skiing and snowboarding communities and our own, on-mountain community of longtime visitors and friends,” said Amy Sampson-Cutler, Executive Manager at Mount Peter. “Few groups are more committed to community service than our area scouting organizations, so it is our great pleasure to offer them these super discounts. Not only that, but every one of our team members looks forward to the fun and camaraderie of Scout Weekend here at Mount Peter.”
For the two-day event, Mount Peter is extending deeply discounted lift ticket and rental rates to scouts at any level and their immediate family members. Single-day lift tickets for scouts will be just $20, and $35 for family members. Ski and snowboard rentals for scouts and their families will be $20 for juniors (5-11 yrs. old) and $25 for adults. Helmet rentals will be available for all ages at $12. Mount Peter’s Mountain School will also be offering free beginner lessons with the purchase of a lift ticket throughout Scout Weekend.
A Boy Scout merit badge counselor will be on hand to provide sign-offs. Special Scout Souvenir Patches will be available for sale at Pete’s Closet, the mountain’s on-site retail shop!
Reservations are not required, but recommended for large scout groups. Always be prepared: Plan your group’s visit by calling (845) 986-4940.
