ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. (July 16, 2019) – It’s still going strong, but a lot has changed since the first Orange County Fair was held in 1841. Today, the fair – one of New York’s oldest – draws crowds to the newly renovated fairgrounds in Middletown, N.Y., for amusement rides, speedway events, carnival fun, and cool concerts with legendary performers like Lou Gramm of Foreigner, headlining this year’s musical entertainment. As the Orange County Fair has grown, so too, have the number of summer happenings throughout the county. Just 60 miles from New York City, the New York Renaissance Faire, the New York Air Show, and many more amazing events will attract fun-loving visitors.

“Orange County is a fantastic place for families to experience fun and entertainment all summer long,” said Orange County Tourism Director Amanda Dana. “We’ve got what happy memories are made of. Come for the cotton candy, the fireworks, the thrilling Blue Angels, the jousting knights, the art, the music, the history, the parks — look no farther than Orange County to make the most of your summer!”
