4e PRODUCTIONS KICKSTARTS LETTERS TO DADDY

Teams with Funding Platform, Local Talent for Youth Music and Video Project

(August 10, 2011 .)— 4e Productions announced its first campaign with KickStarter, an online funding community that helps creative projects raise money for their efforts. The campaign is centered around “Letters to Daddy: The Musical Key to Bully Free,” a musical stage production that focuses on empowering children through positive messages and songs in response to challenging social issues, like bullying. This important initiative will involve local talent and be performed throughout Orange County.

Terry Odell of the Acting Out Playhouse in Warwick, is the director of Letters to Daddy. In addition, 8 Hats High, an animation studio and production house located in Middletown, is producing a behind-the-scenes documentary that will show how this transformational musical was put together. With the support of KickStarter, they will also produce an HD video of the live stage production. The Premiere Event and other community performances, throughout 2011 and 2012, are cast with students ages 9 to 13 from across Orange County.

Letters to Daddy seeks to empower children, build self-esteem, and allow them to relate to their peers. Ultimately, the mission is to enable children to be consciously aware that they have choices, and that their choices, thoughts and actions impact others. Most importantly, Letters to Daddy is a proactive, peer-to-peer, solution-based approach to common challenges. It encourages individuals to work together through challenging issues.

Because of the heightened sensitivity to bullying, 4e Productions and its mission have been recognized and endorsed by Orange County Executive Ed Diana and received support from many community organizations such as The Department of Social Services, The Youth Bureau, System of Care, and the Orange County Business Accelerator. “4e productions is… a company with a strong business model,” explained County Executive Edward Diana, “and great possibility for future expansion here in Orange County.”
