“It’s a stimulus package for jobs” according to the Chairman of the Orange County Industrial Development Agency. James Petro beamed this morning at the Orange County Business Accelerator’s unveiling at Stewart Airport in New Windsor. He praised all involved for their vision and for quick action in getting the brand new building up and ready for new businesses.
Eleven high tech business spaces are ready to go, and the accelerator’s Mike DiTullo told the audience that some prospective tenants were in the crowd at the morning christening. The accelerator offers start up companies brand new space at very low rent, with ample internet support and a great address in a brand new building overlooking the Stewart Airport terminal building.
Petro said the accelerator will seek tenants that are forming new companies in the medical device field, nanotechnology and green technology, among others.
Focus Media of Goshen and Monticello was recently named the advertising and public relations firm for the accelerator and will work with the IDA Board and accelerator staff to build awareness of the facility and attract business as start-up tenants. The Orange County accelerator logo was developed at Focus Media and was put on display today. The design features an interpretation of airplanes circling back into the economy after being accelerated by the program. posted October 26, 2009
